Exeter Hospital and Core Physicians are proud to offer paid training programs that prepare individuals for employment within the organization. These programs run multiple times throughout the year. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the required exams, graduates will have the necessary skills and resources to begin their career as a Medical Assistant.

Core Physicians Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program

Become certified and employed in 16 weeks!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

  • Training wage starts at $17.50 per hour, depending on experience. Get paid while training and during the related classwork instruction time.

  • The program includes 10 weeks of classroom and 240 hours of a clinical internship with Core Physicians.

  • Grant funding is available to qualified candidates for tuition, fees, expenses and supplies.

  • Successful completion of the program will require passing a final exam and demonstrating competency in selected skills.

  • The internship component includes 6 weeks of training under the direct supervision and responsibility of a preceptor/liaison.

  • Selected candidates must commit to attending class 40 hours a week for a total of 16 weeks. Program graduates will be prepared to work as Medical Assistant in a Core Physicians practice.

  • Trainees are benefits-eligible.

  • Graduates of the program receive a pay increase starting at $20.00 per hour.
